About the Study

The Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience Lab at the University of Colorado at Boulder is undertaking a study to test a mindbody treatment method in a population of chronic back pain sufferers. The study is being funded by the National Institutes of Health.

The research study consists of two MRI scans 4-6 weeks apart on the CU Boulder campus, before and after treatment. MRI is a safe and non-invasive technology for measuring brain function, and participants will be given a photo of their brain to take home. In addition, study participants will be financially compensated.
