Best App Ever!

Best App Ever! The combination of different types of activities (meditation, brain exercices, reading/listening and understanding about pain, writing exercices...) is perfect. I choose what's best for me at any given time. One of the biggest and best surprises is how much the info about pain has helped change my perception about why I hurt. This in turn has had a big impact on my pain levels which have started to decrease. A very easy to use and motivating tool. I can't recommend it enough!

Recently had a lower back/ glute flair up. I used Curable tools, talks, meditations, journaling, and this made the episode manageable. Finally I am in charge of my body and the pain and not the other way around. I listen while driving 40 minutes each way to/from work. Knowledge is power and I am way better! I can , run, bike, work out, group fitness you name it. This after having pain where I could not walk and had weeks of PT. This stuff is science based and makes sense!

Life changing app

This app has been life changing for my health. I got a concussion 2.5 years ago and have struggled with PCS, headaches, migraines, chronic pain since then. I can’t believe it took me 2.5 years to make the connection that my mental health and how I mentally approach pain affects my pain. I now tell every person I know about this app, including my doctors. The medical field needs to know about this app because I’ve learned that to not acknowledge the mental aspects of pain is to miss half the picture.
From couch to ultramarathons

After developing extreme lower back discomfort, I went from running over a dozen competitive marathons and ultramarathons to having trouble getting out of bed. I was diagnosed with an L5-S1 herniated/bulging disc in my back and tried everything I could find to help find relief. Nothing seemed to help and I became a different person, completely focused on the discomfort, worried my life was over as I defined it. I found the Curable app and it’s been a huge part of my healing. the discomfort presented itself in early 2018, I found the app in early 2019, and as of late 2019, I’ve completed a 100k in the alps and won a 50 mile race. I’ve gained my confidence, activity level, happiness, and mental health back and I am incredibly grateful to Curable for being a part of that recovery. Give it a try, and put any skepticism aside.
A life changer - literally

I woke up this morning and genuinely wondered if this app had all been a dream because I still can’t figure out how it’s had such a profound impact on my life in such a short time. Until recently I’ve had a migraine almost constantly, hovering over me waiting to make work, relationships and socializing that much harder. Medications sometimes worked and sometimes didn’t, and then along came this app and everything’s changed. Through a mix of education, meditation, brain training and writing it’s helped me to understand how pain works, removed the fear, and reduced the severity and frequency of my migraines more than any of the medications I’ve taken. The app experience itself is also very welcoming and user-friendly. I recommend it to anyone who’s determined to get out of the pain cycle.

I had read some of the mind body books out there, but only once I started using the Curable app did I make progress in resolving my migraines. I have felt so much stronger since going through the exercises. They are just the right length to do every day— plus they make it enjoyable. You owe it to yourself to at least try it— all you have to lose is pain’s hold on your life.

I’m not sure if I would have tried this app if I hadn’t been desperate, but I’m so glad I did. The lessons are curated wonderfully and explain scientific aspects clearly. I have been using the app for a few months now and have seen a remarkable change in my chronic migraines. While I wouldn’t say I’m cured, I think I’m headed in that direction, and I am so thankful.

My 17 year old daughter has suffered from chronic pain her whole life, but 2 years ago she got caught in a pain cycle that she just couldn’t get out of. We tried ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING...multiple medications, 2 surgeries, IV infusions, holistic approach, acupuncture, meditation, special dentistry, allergy shots, and more. I literally can’t count the number of doctors visits we went to with little to no relief. She had to go on independent study her entire sophomore year of high school and would only come out of her room for 30 minutes at a time because of her constant, extreme pain. Then one day a family member who knew our story sent us a link to Curable. I sat in bed and cried when I read the stories that we so similar to my daughters. I started listening, and the Pain-fear cycle resonated so closely to how I know she felt. The biggest obstacle was giving her, yet another, possible solution to her pain. Hope is a very dangerous thing and we were both very wary, but she started listening and she agreed to try it. It wasn’t an immediate solution, but slowly but surely she began to gain control. She started to understand what triggered her headaches and made changes to her thought process about the pain. Fast forward to 1 year of Curable and I can truly say, LIFE CHANGING!!! She finished her junior year, learning to manage stress and pain and the highlight was that she went on a school trip to Iceland at the beginning of the summer (yes this is the girl who couldn’t come out of her room for more than 30 minutes). She hit the Panic button when she found out her hotel didn’t have darkening shades, which got her through! I am so grateful for Curable. I am an ER nurse, and so I take care of people in pain for a living. The opioid crisis is so very real and destructive and I watch it everyday. I regularly add information about the Curable App to people’s discharge paperwork explaining the benefits and how it helped my daughter. Thank you for making this app so accessible and I will continue to recommend it to anyone in chronic pain.

I suffer from chronic pain and an autoimmune disease. I’ve tried so many things to manage the physical and psychological toll it takes. As a mental health therapist myself, I know a lot of these techniques and understand how they work. I have to say that the combination of using this app followed by a session with my own therapist made a huge difference in my life and well-being. I don’t think I would have gotten there without first using this app. Thanks, Curable Crew!
